Live Lovely. Love Deeply. Laugh Loudly.

Love. It is a strong bond between you and that special someone. Love. It is what we show to one other when we are going through hard times. Love. Something that everyone wants, and needs. But are we abusing what Love is supposed to be?

You know you hear the couples around the school saying "I'm SO in love with you!"... Yeah okay let's be real here. First of all, as teenagers we tend to be just a tad dramatic. Oh, and may I just say, if you've known the person for a week, you don't love them. Sorry, but really you're not. Love is when you know and care for who they are inside out. You want to do what's best for them. You want them to be happy, no matter what the heart break brings. When love exists, the tough situations that come along become a tiny bump in the road. What I see around school bothers me. I feel bad for those poor people who are being told that someone loves them. We jump to conclusions when we don't fully understand what we are feeling. In this case, they say "I love you" because they don't understand the feelings that they are experiencing. Then comes the heart break, and we wonder, "what happened?".

Usually the bond in the relationship is not strong enough. When something arises, the situation becomes unbearable, and the relationship is called off. Don't get me wrong, this isn't always how heart break works. Another possibility is when one person in the relationship is not ready. They start doubting their feelings, and say the famous phrase "it's not you, it's me.".

Love is an incredible thing. It can hold us together, and give us something to strive for. When someone loves you, they put you first in their life. They treat you like the prince, or princess that you are. And no matter what happened in your past, they still love you, no matter what.

The world we live in does not understand what Love really is. So every person you come across, smile and say hello. You may just make their day.
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away."
-1 Corinthians 13:4-8
